E.g., milk is now $5 a gallon here.

But because milk is food, it's not part of "core" inflation, which means
the US gov't doesn't have to raise its Ponz -- excuse me, Social
Security payouts to match it.

Funny thing, they exclude food and energy from the inflation index
because they are "volatile."  Well pardon me, but usually when you want
to correct for volatility you do a seasonal adjustment or a moving
average.  You don't just *omit* the thing entirely.

Unless you're desperately trying to keep the whole fiat fiasco Creature
from Jekyll Island from flying apart.  In which case you'll try
anything, such as stealing gold from my mother.
