[e-gold-list] Clarification, regarding CGB. was Re: Which business models will survive the current shake up?

Clarification or correction.

There were some explanations made by CGB of the source of the profits,
and workings of the 2-for-1 split. Also, I did not know of the ANNUAL
dividends that are apparently still good, with CGB. It was only the
MONTHLY dividends that were stopped.

Timing is everything. I traded in and out of the shares, and evidently
I was not a shareholder at the time CGB determined who they needed to
send their shareholders' report/s to, so I think I didn't get to read
about the annual dividend, however, as for the loans on which the
dividend-generating profits were made, were not anything visible on
the actual CGB website, so they were PRIVATE transactions. I am not
talking about insider trading (of shares or anything), when I said
only insiders or those party to the transactions could have known that
those profits (on which the dividends were produced) were being
generated. It is just that, if you were waiting for the online launch
and following the website for activities, according to the prospectus,
before evaluating what you would think you should be paying for the
shares, you would have to have been wondering where on earth the
dividends were coming from! (Which we did wonder, and we did ask, and
we did get an explanation of!)

Anyway, that is history. There is more interesting stuff going on these days!
