Gordon,
A few comments:
> Today I woke thinking clearly as I try to do each day. It takes work you know, to see things clearly. It takes practice.
That is the truth.
> As we stroll along toward eternity, we are blessed to be able to leave this earth and its inhabitants with the things we create.
Amen.
> Doug Jackson is a clear thinker.
Sometimes more than others. :) But the big thing is that he DID
SOMETHING. We can complain about things he could have done better, but
that is true of all of us at one time or another. What really goes to
Doug's credit is that he ACTED - he created. Lots of folks have good
ideas, few have the audacity to actually act upon them.
> I am where I am today in good part because of Doug Jackson and his good creation called e-gold.
Me too.
> I am also a man who understands deeply Dougs current situation of persecution. Why do I understand? because each day I too must fight the same battles. Mine pale in comparison to his current situation, but they are the same and come to bare down on me in the same manner and for the same reasons.
I seldom say this, but it is true nonetheless: Most of the people here
are heroes. It takes guts to be in this business.
> The fallen heroes of the Digital Currency Industry. I could name names, but we know the score here. The list is ever growing.
If we ever win this battle, they should all be memorialized. (Far
better them than the usual pandering politicians.)
> I too ponder will I make the cut?
You've already made it, amigo. Really.
> I create silver money each day... Each day I create more privacy.
And you are earning yourself a satisfying old age. There is very
little better as an old man, than to be able to look back and know
that you did things that mattered. The others led boring lives,
following the accepted norms, but you had the guts to improve the
world.
We should all get our own rest home together. :)
(And, yes, JP, we can work on longevity and cryonics too!)
> Those who oppose freedom and worship the state look upon me and others like me with disdain.
>From Wayfaring Men: "the cost of being yourself is a willingness to
accept disapproval. The price of true greatness is the willingness to
endure disdain, rejection, and hatred. If you want to be great, you
must be willing to be called evil. At present, and for the near
future, that is the price."
> Go out and create. Create more freedom, more currencies and more gold and more silver and create more things for destruction to destroy.
Again, amen.
