Dear List,

Today I woke thinking clearly as I try to do each day. It takes work you know, to see things clearly. It takes practice.

As we stroll along toward eternity, we are blessed to be able to leave this earth and its inhabitants with the things we create. Those people who also practice at thinking clearly, create things that benefit people. Doug Jackson is a clear thinker. Today he comes to mind and is with me in my thoughts even though I have never met the man who partially responsible for my good life today. I never yet had the chance to thank him face to face for how he has changed my life for the better. I have not yet been able to thank him for thinking clearly and as a result of that, creating something that blesses others with good fortune, including myself. I am where I am today in good part because of Doug Jackson and his good creation called e-gold.

It is well know that in the past I have been critical of e-gold's method of business and policies. Yes, I still am critical today and thats to be expected because there is always room for improvement, but don't mistake my critisicm as anything other than an attempt to improve the situation for the better. I know without a doubt that e-gold is important to everyone here including me and I love e-gold.

I am also a man who understands deeply Dougs current situation of persecution. Why do I understand? because each day I too must fight the same battles. Mine pale in comparison to his current situation, but they are the same and come to bare down on me in the same manner and for the same reasons.

I too constantly find myself in battles over my good creations and what I see as results of clear thinking.

Freedom is hard. Its not hard like silver bars are hard, no it is hard to practicing it. It is hard to do. Freedom is a verb. Freedom is a word of action and just like clear thinking, freedom takes practice.

And with freedom of course comes its opposite. Today, its opposite seems all pervasive. Freedom is attacked every second of every day weather you are awake or sleeping and since freedom is under attack by all the forces who work against it knowingly or unknowingly, we must persevere and continuously practice clear thinking and practice freedom.

The federal reserve would have you believe they are a federal institution who works for freedom, but that is untrue on both counts. People who are honest with themselves and have the education to understand these things know the score. Unfortunately, they are a rare breed today. Yes, the opposite of freedom is also a verb. If freedom builds, then its opposite destroys. The creations of those who hate freedom, deconstruct life.

As I woke today, I pondered alone in bed. I pondered the destructive nature of the federal reserve. I pondered our fallen heroes. No I am not talking about the troops over in Iraq who are not thinking all that clearly, I am talking about the fallen heroes of the Digital Currency Industry. I could name names, but we know the score here. The list is ever growing. 

I too ponder will I make the cut? Will I promote freedom so successfully one day that I too join the ranks of the fallen heroes? Maybe. But I am not afraid. I do not fear evil and because of that, I cannot stop the practice of thinking clearly and creating freedom.

For me today, gold and silver is freedom. I create silver money each day and that to me is freedom. It is a working example of freedom. Each day I create more privacy. That too is freedom. They are my working examples of freedom.

Those who oppose freedom and worship the state look upon me and others like me with disdain. They witness fraud where only freedom prevails and they hate me for the effort, always without even understanding the reality.

Yes, they see and think in reverse. Destruction does not think clearly or see a clear road ahead, no. Destruction sees everything backwards. It looks upon things in reflected, inverted, in twisted form. Why? Because destruction can only see itself. It looks into they eyes of freedom and still only sees destruction and it fears itself and therefore must destroy what it sees.

I know the score. I know who is thinking clearly and who is not. Most of us here do. All of us know in their hearts Doug Jackson thinks clearly and has chose to stand his ground where it matters most. Like it or not, the USA is the location of the final battles for freedom and if those who practice freedom run away to foreign lands, freedom loses.

Bernard Von Nothaus is also a clear thinker and practitioner of freedom. Both are under attack by pure destruction. Destruction handed down by its masters to its unsuspecting and uninformed minions.

I beg of all of you to not be afraid. To stand your ground and keep creating. Whatever you do, do not stop creating freedom no matter how many of our heroes fall. 

The fight for freedom and for metal money is a serious one, so what to do? Don't sit there being afraid and doing nothing. Go out and create. Create more freedom, more currencies and more gold and more silver and create more things for destruction to destroy. 

Wear them out!

Hayek argued in his 1976 monograph, The Denationalization of Money, that private firms should be allowed to compete with government money and that the competition would provide a more stable and sound currency. With globalization, technological change, and firms like PayPal and E-gold we may eventually get there. Political attack against non-fiat currencies?

Another thing that may rub feds the wrong way is the embarrassing fact that e-gold has appreciated by over 100% compared to the U.S. dollar since 1999. In other words, if you held $1,000 worth of e-gold since 1999, it would be worth over $2,000 now. It's closer to the truth to say that the dollar is worth about half what it was in 1999 than to say that e-gold is worth twice as much. Which currency is the funny money? ~ unenumerated blog
