I had to chuckle when I read this.  If you think this is anything 
"new" created by Bush, you've not read your presidential history too 
well.  Try "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas Dilorenzo, a noted historian. 
Lincoln went far beyond what Bush is doing, even then.  And his 
intent was much the same.   What I really found astounding was the 
fact that historians in general knew the real Lincoln agenda well 
before the 20th century and did nothing to make it known.
