I can only speak for myself, of course, but my reason for not using it (even
though I was quick to open an account at O2E years back), is the chicken and
egg dilemma:
If there isn't enough volume, it's not worth my time, and if not
enough people
spare the time, there won't be enough volume...

Sure, at times there are trades offered that will make the patient buyer or
seller a few percentage points in a single deal, which is good. On the other
hand the volume of these trades is usually to low to make it worthwhile. In
the end, if I can buy an ounze at 3% below spot, and turn around and sell it
to an exchanger through CF$ at spot, then I earn 3% free and clear. Which is
about $19.00... ;o)

That doesn't even account for the fact that our exchanger clients would
probably find it a nuisance if we contacted them with any offers below 25
ounzes, and we don't retail to the public.

So, the O2E is definitely a great idea (considering that it was mine, well,
that I discussed the knitty gritty of a plan with an Aussie just two or
three months before Sidd launched O2E), but without volume, like all DGC
ventures, it'll have difficulties finding wide adoption.

Maybe publicity and advertisment is what is needed?

Cheers,
Robert.
