Subject: The Quiet thief of gold
Been months again. Still get this e-mail on e-gold.
Once upon a time, when e-gold only had six digit accounts, I set up my
account, # 102748, in 1997 or so. Travel a lot, changed locations,
e-mail addresses, laptops and things. BUT, like a Swiss account, I
thought that an account number and a password was enough.
Well, not true. I lost my account holdings, I guess, as for over two
years I can't get at them. Why? They send the special password to an
account I closed over, geez, three years ago.
I wrote them, told them of all account names of the past, but to no
avail. I tried a dozen times. Someone told me to write the old
provider, get my old account reactivated, etc.
Why go through the hoops for what is mine? Because e-gold changed
their systems and having an account and a password was no longer good
enough.
Said. Watched the price of gold go up, but my account was blocked.
Yep. Showed me.
I changed any and all on-line gold transactions to other providers.
This has got to be the stupidest, lowest level form of thief out
there, bar none. Oh yea, the govt retirement schemes. forgot
