I have used www.me-gold.com (UAE based) in the past. They have been
inconsistent with their fees, but were reliable otherwise, for amounts up
to a few 100g of gold at a time.
BTW, they have an interesting 1.5% compounding monthly program
(minimum 2000 USD).
Any of the more daring here care to try it?
Caveat emptor, of course. Yes, the UAE is surprisingly close to some
libertarian ideals (free trade zone, zero taxes, and surprisingly easy
going
(especially Dubai - where else will you see a sheikh holding hands with his
wife, both dressed in traditional arab clothes, as they stroll through
a mall?).
But the freewheeling trader-friendly country comes with the downside that the
business you deal with may have vanished untraceably the next week along with
all the dues owed to you
regards
Amit
