Unlinq Financial Services has been vending its Virtual Credit Card now for 
over 3 weeks.  Of our many happy customers some have signed our public key 
(below) to let you know they are satisfied with our product and customer 
service.

Development of our web site, with automated ordering, is continuing and 
will hopefully enter test later this month.  Until then we continue 
processing orders manually which has been quite effective and remarkably 
trouble free.  So, if you could use a VCC for creating or renewing a 
subscription or other on-line merchant need there is no reason to 
wait.  Please read completely the updated announcement (below) before 
contacting us for purchase as some restrictions (aren't there always) apply.

New Virtual Credit Card

UnlinQ today announced an inexpensive, privacy-oriented, virtual credit 
card financial product. There are already a few virtual credit cards out 
there. Ours is truly virtual: no card issued. Use it for web merchants, to 
fund telecom services, on-line subscriptions, etc.

You receive a pre-loaded, active, account number issued to a nym (not your 
name) fresh on demand. There is no compromise in your identity due to 
courier delivery or cost. It’s not detectable by the merchant as being a 
virtual card.

While we complete our web site, and automate the process, we want to 
manually test the nuts-and-bolts of the transaction processing and make 
sure there aren’t any unforeseen holes. The test is expected to last up 
to 60 days (test progress reports on this forum and on our web site, when 
operational).

During the test, funding made during business hours (for the Americas) 
should generally take place within 4 hours Monday ­ Friday (other time 
zones  and Saturday ­ Sunday within a day). After funding, you’ll  be 
provided by email with a unique operating credit card number, expiration 
date, 3-digit CVC/CVV/CW2 and sufficient cardholder information to complete 
on-line transactions for that account. (Once the system is live most/all of 
this information will be provided via the web site.)

All operations for this service are outside U.S.

ASSURANCE
In keeping with the privacy and cryptographic roots of this service we are 
using digital signatures from known and respected public parties and 
companies on our PGP public key as introducers (see our updated key, below).

TEST FEE SCHEDULE
10% of funded balance, minimum fee USD 3.00 Examples:

- Funding balances will be in USD. (However, the card can be used to pay in 
any currency. The card issuer will automatically make the exchange, pay the 
equivalent amount to the merchant and deduct it from your card.)
- NO monthly fees
- NO transaction fees
- NO foreign exchange fees
- For the test we prefer to fund balances below $100 per card

NOTICE
The following will apply during ONLY the TEST period:
** Only e-gold and 1mdc is accepted for funding
** NO RELOADING of cards, however, cards may be ordered in exact 
denominations desired (e.g., USD 26.42)
** CARDS EXPIRE between 30 and 60 days from issuance (NO renewal/expiry 
extension)
** NO REFUNDS or balance transfers to a new card on expired cards
- Please specify if you a preference for the gender of card’s associated 
nym (male is the default)
- Unless requested, card nyms will be randomized among orders so that 
subsequent orders will probably NOT have the same nym as the first
** Cards can only be used with the FIRST MERCHANT to whom they are 
presented. (If you are rejected by the merchant contact us and we will 
issue a new ‘card’; only one free re-issue per funding, for all 
additional re-issues fees will be charged as in a new funding), but can be 
used multiple times with this merchant
** CANNOT BE USED FOR gambling or money transfer services (If you present 
our card to one of these merchants you will be forced to pay a re-issue fee 
charged as in a new funding.)

- What other lists or forums do you think would serve to provide competent 
testers?
- How important is persistence of the card nyms across several orders, that 
is, the availability of a particular nym over several orders and/or many 
months?
- How important is the availability of nyms unique to a specific client and 
how much is this feature worth? Or is it better for nyms to always be 
shared among clients?
- How important is the ability to specify a particular nym? A gender? 
Regionalization of the card nym’s family name (e.g., Anglo/American, 
German, or Hispanic). Which “regionalizations” are most desired?
