Hello James,

I doubt that its even that complex. I will supply a third possible
scenario. I say this qualifying it as complete speculation, based on
no evidence that I have in my possession, but just supplied as a less
conspiratorial situation/possibility as far as the fed is concerned.

I give you this only because I somehow doubt the fed is that directly
involved and it does not fit the data coming in enough for me. I feel
the fed is peripheral and is working on the database on their own
terms and time.

#1. e-gold gets raided and loses 850k*ish is the seizure which they quickly
get back through a court action.

#2. The costs to proceed with a major legal battle are very high. In
the half million range? Further costs are incurred moving offshore.

#3. e-gold sells (5 bars? IAN?) in 2006 totally reversing the trend of
purchasing bars which would be expected in the gold bull market.

#4. e-gold uses the proceeds of the sale of bars to pay costs as
outlined above. This could also be to recover losses from seizure if
my data is faulty.

#5. The sale of the bars is actually stealing from clients, but
the math proves they can go fractional and survive.

#6. How to recover the bars quietly?

#7. Start with Iranian clients. Not at the request of the government,
but only knowing that the government won't complain since they are
sanctioned and e-gold can use this as an excuse. Boom, an instant
300-500k min? That is what is called easy money.

(If this is true, does e-gold realize the damage this will do between
relations with the Iranian people and the US people outside of the
governments of these respective nations?)

#8. Confiscate the balance from high value accounts that have provable
ties to things like posting on talkgold recently and
only from people who are certainly outside of the united states since
it would be mostly impossible to bring legal pressure or a court
action that is effective against e-gold. Again easy money.

#9. Buy back the 5 bars with the confiscated funds. This happened
recently right Ian? E-gold recently reversed the trend of selling and
started buying again.

So in conclusion, this is my best Nancy Drew guess to what is going on. I hope
its not true, but certainly that is probably a better option that what
others have just proposed if given a choice between them.

Either way, you all are right about the situation in that no one can
reply on the economy as related to e-gold if they are willing to do
things like this without talking to their members openly.

When everyone is worried about the future of the US Dollar, it is sad
to watch the DGC industry get decimated one company at a time for
whatever reason.

Buy physical.

Cheers,

Gordon
